(More customer reviews)I had a spare Pentium D dual core 945 3.4GhZ CPU and fan and chose this board because it handles a wide array of CPU s, old and new, just in case I want to do some testing or update to a newer E6300, etc.
This board is nicely built and I had no problems putting together a system using it.
It has lots of nice features and looks like there's plenty of tweaks in the BIOS, although that's not my style. I care more about stability, longevity and efficiency. Yeah, I know, the Pent D is not real efficient. My other computers are Intel Atom boards (D945GCLF2, 40W, also purchased from Amazon). This board is using 110W with a WD 320 drive, a PowerColor HD3650 PCIE video card and 2GB of DDR2 800 RAM. The video card is not necessary. The on board graphics seems okay if you are not into gaming.
My only complaint was that the board was mailed from back East USPS and the tracking and time was somewhat longer than I had anticipated.
The price is about as good as it gets for a new 3 year warranty board with shipping included.
