(More customer reviews)While this board is primarily targeted at business and institutional use (which implies that reliability was emphasized in its design), it's also ideal for general purpose home and student computers, at a price that can't be beat. I bought two boards, along with $70 E5400 CPUs, to upgrade a couple of old eSystems boxes at minimal cost and ended up with very nice machines that I'd use for anything short of high-end gaming. I plan to buy another one for a home theater PC.
Although the Socket 775 series is not Intel's latest and greatest, it continues to support a wide range of processors, from Celeron to Quad core. It supports up to 8 GB of memory, 4 SATA 3 Gb/s drives, 8 USB 2.0 connections, 6-channel audio, and gigabit LAN. Quite an impressive and complete package for 60 bucks.
