(More customer reviews)Microlab is a pretty well known name outside of the US among those who demand an audiophile level experience and don't want to break the bank.
I had the opportunity to own a pair of these speakers while living in China and was absolutely blown away by quality of the construction and sound of these powered speakers. The silk dome tweeters are crisp while maintaining a warmth to the music.
When compared to MAudio, Audioengine and other 2.0 systems common here in the US there really is no comparison. The Solo 6C with it's 6.5" woofer and silk tweeter crush them both in sound quality.
Unfortunately they aren't charging anywhere close to what I paid for these in USD in China and what they charge for them in Europe or Australia. In the US I guess they've decided to increase the price by 70-80%. Perhaps when pricing comes back to earth I'll own a pair again but I honestly can't recommend them until that happens. Are they better than M Audio and Audioengine 2.0 systems that cost more? Yes. Are they anywhere close to being fairly price in the US? No.
Why punish us for being US consumers is what I ask.
