(More customer reviews)I bought this item as an external hard drive for my Macbookpro and find that it provides enough storage that I can leave my internal hard drive free for applications only - the imation portable is small enough to carry with me everywhere I go and works so well I bought a second one for my husband's mac.
Note: it comes with two connected usb connectors but I only use the black one since there aren't two ports next to each other to utilize the second one, and this seems to make no difference at all to the fast speed at which files transfer. It uses my laptop as a power source so I don't have to carry a second power cord with me which makes a huge difference when traveling. And the small profile is a major plus too.
