(More customer reviews)I bought these based on looks and the Maxell name. The mesh on the wire gives it a nice feel, and seems sturdy. The silicone buds are comfortable, fitting into the ear well enough to provide some noise isolation. The mahogany was a nice touch. Soon after though, the ear bud wire started to peak through the mesh, creating a small peak which just kept increasing in size, until I was forced to cut the sheathing in order for the wire to stay flat and straight. Next, the mahogany separated from the rest of the ear bud (both sides) and I had to super glue them back together. Finally, one ear bud became nearly silent while the other was loud. For the short time that the product remained as purchased, the sound quality was average.
